What's Been Up...

Last weekend me and my guys hibernated in our house. It was a much needed break from the running around that so often takes over. I didn't even know how to act, half the weekend I felt like I had forgotten something. We had fun enjoying the weather, and Little Man and I cut some daffodils that have made the house smell like spring. We also got to air the house out too, so we enjoyed the fresh air.

Little Man also enjoyed the new Smart Cycle that I ordered for him from Amazon. It has educational games and he gets to practice his pedaling, which he hasn't gotten the hang of on his tricycle.

I wish I could fit on his new smart cycle, I could get a workout! Little Man also loves his ViewMaster which is a Sights and Sounds version...it plays different sounds for special reels. So his farm reels have the noises the animals make, etc. Very neat, and he likes to also look at MY old reels, very cool.

I finished organizing my craft room (I'll take photos of it this weekend), and I baked Pumpkin Muffins. The recipe is probably the easiest ever. Mix a box of yellow cake mix with a can of 100% pumpkin with an electronic mixture until smooth, add cinnamon to taste and spoon into a greased 12 cup muffin pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees, each muffin has 160 calories, and fiber! Great as a not completely bad for you treat!

I also made ham and string beans...and proving I am not an American cook (someone actually called me this name the other day, it's what you call someone who depends on recipes to cook), I made it without a recipe or measurements...and it came out great.

The week is going fast, and I had my hair done and I'm really happy with it. Before you know it the weekend will be here and I'll have time to knit a little more (besides my bus knitting). Oh, and I have to catch-up with my Ravelry reading. You never know what you'll see. The other day I checked to see if my friends had updated their blogs, and I saw an advertisement for this:

The yarn and the kit are produced by Material Whirled. You can buy just the yarn or the kit. The yarn has Easter grass and chenille chicks spun into it. It's out of my price range, but I can't stop thinking about it, IT'S SO CUTE!

I so know what you mean about going and going like the energizer bunny and then when you stop feeling like you forgot something...LOL it's sorta like jet lag.

Anyway, cute video of your little and BIG man...Ha! Just love that muffin recipe and will have to see how many WW points they are.

That Easter basket...how cute is that yarn! Anyway, just fashion one yourself, it would be an easy to figure out knit. Take a look at the easter basket I designed for my the looms...http://www.beehappygifts.com/bittybunnypurse.htm

I need to translate that into needle knit, now that I know how...LOL
