The Pre-Kindergarten Graduate!

Oh my goodness..on June 10, 2010, my Little Man graduated from Pre-K. The ceremony was SO SWEET! The kids marched with their caps and gowns on, then sat down like big kids. And, sat while each child was called up by name to receive their "diploma" while one of his teachers read what the child said he/she wants to be when they grow up. Little Man said he wanted to be a NASCAR driver so he could win things. After all the children were presented, the children stood, and while performing simplified sign language, they sang, "Don't Worry, About a Thing, Because Every Little Thing, Is Going To Be Alright." It was one of the most precious things I've ever seen. Although, I've thought that many times since having Little Man in my life. I could feel myself tear up, watching all those innocent little faces singing to us, wow, it was sweet. Afterwards they did a little dance routine and then there was a slideshow of photos from the last few months and the kids all had a good time yelling out the names of the kids that were showing each slide. After that we had refreshments.

As a treat, we let Little Man decide where to eat dinner that night, and he chose Buffet Dynasty. We ate, gave him a race car he had wanted, and celebrated his first academic milestone. I look forward to many more!

Aw I bet you did find yourself tearing up watching him get his diploma. It's a big day. Does he start "proper" school in September? He looks so gorgeous in those photos. He really is a photogenic child :)

I remember both of my children doing the Pre-K graduating. They grow so fast, so enjoy these moments. He looks adorable!
