What Have I Been Up To You Ask?

So, I haven't attempted a blogpost since the last frustrating post, I don't know why Blogger made the changes it did, but...oh well.

I've been doing the usual...work, housework, household projects, etc. And, I've been working on two larger projects...the Hanami stole which is now halfway done...

and the Heirloom Blanket from the book Vintage Knits for Modern Babies. This little blanket is for my not-yet-here niece (she's due to make her grand entrance into the world on August 1st).

So, I've got some time to finish her up...I'm a little over halfway finished with it now.

I've also been pushing really hard to get caught up on my scrapbook/photo albums. With the help of Snapfish, I may actually catch up this decade! I've started making photo books that I can upload digital layouts to, and use stickers in, after I receive the printed version. I was behind 4 years. As of now, I have 2007 and 2009 completely done, 2006 halfway done, and 2008 part of the way done...it will still take me some time, but I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

We've got a busy few weeks coming up around here. Little Man graduates from Pre-Kindergarten (complete with cap and gown), he starts summer camp, and, unfortunately, he needs to have two baby teeth extracted to make room for some permanent teeth that aren't coming in properly. Also, we're trying to get Kindergarten all figured out! Little Man will have a lot of firsts in the next couple of weeks and months, and it's exciting to be along with him for the ride!

Love the Hanami stole, it's a nice pattern. And I really like the color red of the yarn for your Heirloom Blanket. It looks like a really rich shade. I'm sure it will be appreciated by the new parents & baby!
