You never know what kind of fun things you'll stumble across when you check out LivingSocial and Groupon. I found a deal for a wine tasting party...and went for it.
The company that offered the deal is Wines for Humanity...they come, you taste and whatever wine that is sold a portion of the profits goes to charity. The rep comes with 6 kinds of wines that you talk about first to pick wines that you may like. They tell you beforehand what foods will pair well with the wines chosen...and then you put out some foods to soak up some of the alcohol ;)
I made caprese salad bites (with help from my fellas), warm brie and fig preserves on crostini, crab stuffed mushrooms and a cheese and grapes platter.
The wines were lovely, the company even better and I learned some things about wine...very cool new way to have people over!
