Back to Lighter Topics...

So I said I would post the trip photos today and here is the first of two installments. I would have done them all at once but Blogger sometimes acts funny if you upload too many photos per post so I'll do Day 1 photos now and Day 2 photos tomorrow.

Because I was out the previous evening networking (trying to find someone who may know someone who can help me find employment), we finished up our packing Friday morning and headed to Myrtle Beach, SC. It's about a 4-hour drive from us, not because it's far but because the route drops to 45-miles per hour quite a bit and we drive within five miles of the speed limit. Anyway, we stopped on the way at Burger King for lunch, and we got there in the afternoon to Ocean Lakes Family Campground. We hadn't stayed there in over 5 years and we knew they had made changes so we were anxious to see how everything looked. We weren't disappointed. From the time we got there until the time we left we had a perfect visit.

After we checked in and got our keys we headed to our "campsite" which was actually a double-wide permanently affixed to the lot. It had a deck in the front and a double-tier deck in the back overlooking a creek. The rental had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths a full eat-in kitchen, 2 televisions, and some other things. We unpacked the car, and Hubby went and rented us a golf cart while Little Man and I changed for the "Splash Zone."

We drove the golf cart down to the pool area, parked, and spent the next couple of hours splashing in the water, playing with the water guns, and chasing Little Man. After our pool time we headed back to the house, got dressed and headed to The Giant Crab for dinner. Oh my goodness is it good! We ate there back in March and so we knew we had to go back. It's a buffet-style restaurant with crablegs and all kinds of other seafood featured. There's also a carving station where you can have roast beef, prime rib, and ham carved for you, a kiddie bar with child-friendly dishes, and a really great dessert bar. Yummy! We're a crableg loving family so we were very full when we left. We headed back to the house, put Little Man down in his room, and we watched The Core in our room on the provided television (we brought the DVD, they had a DVD player). Very relaxing! But wait until you hear about the next day!

P.S. I have finally recreated the motif for the Batman-Inspired Sweater in Excel, and so I am finally getting close to having the pattern finished. I am so sorry for the wait, but I want it to look right, and I want it easy to use. Hopefully it will be entirely finished before the weekend.
