Wednesday, November 21st

On Wednesday my brother dropped off my nephew before he headed to work. He ate breakfast, and he and Little Man played for a little while I went grocery shopping before we headed to see Bee Movie. We saw a matinee, and when we told my Mom how much it cost she was shocked. But we got each of the boys their own snack packs (with popcorn, Sprite, and Welchs fruit snacks) and we shared popcorn and cherry Coke. We wanted to do something fun with them together since both of their birthdays are so close together. The movie was good, again not the best kiddie movie I have seen. I liked Ratatouille more, even if it did have rats. But the movie was still cute.

After watching the movie we headed over to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. We had been there the day before and thought the indoor play area would be a perfect place for the boys to run around for a while out of the cold. And I love the salads there. Especially since after you eat a salad and feel good about yourself you can eat a piece of cheesecake. And since Hubby doesn't like cheesecake, I thoroughly enjoy it when I can. After lunch the boys played for over half an hour.

At first E didn't want to go down the slide so he crawled through the tube and played on the keyboard and the gears while Little Man went down the slide again and again.

After play time we went back to my folks' house where I made dinner. I made Barefoot Contessa's Cheddar Corn Chowder again with some fresh French bread..yum yum. And my Dad had steamed up some damn fine shrimp. So what was supposed to be a smaller meal before Thanksgiving wound up being a feast that left us full and happy.
After dinner we cleaned up and occupied the boys. Then my brother headed home with leftovers (although he did text me to let me know the chowder was good), and Little Man went to sleep, followed by me and hubby not too long after.
