Sex and the City

On Friday I had a get-together to gear up for the release of Sex and the City: The Movie. I invited 8 people but they slowly all cancelled on me which left me with 2 good friends, cocktails and more food...not such a bad position to be in. I got off work early to work on food and run errands, and my friend Elena came over early to play with Little Man and help me. On the menu: sushi, wraps (made with turkey, red pepper hummus and mixed greens), quiche, and a baked brie that we made that had pears, butter, brown sugar, and raspberries in with the melted brie that could then be scooped up with crusty baguettes. I scaled back the menu when I started having cancellations, but everything was really good and made watching previous episodes seem a little more special. Especially when accompanied by Cosmopolitans and Flirtinis. We watched episodes until shortly after 11 PM and then the ladies went home.

The next afternoon I went to see the movie by myself since no one was available to see it with me. I loved it. I can't wait to see it again. And the best part was my best friend Tenasha, who lives in AZ, sent me a movie certificate to see the movie so I didn't even pay to see it! (Which also means I won't have to feel bad if I see it again since I didn't pay the first time!) After watching the movie I went home so I could get ready for the Stitch N Pitch...stay tuned for that story!
