Where do you go...

...to see Paris, New York City, the circus, the pyramids, and Venice all in one city? Las Vegas! And that's where I'm headed at the end of April. I've been putting off going for the last year and a half, and Hubby finally talked me into it. Why the dragging of the feet you ask? Because Hubby and Little Man aren't coming with me, and I've never been so far away from Little Man. And for three nights. I may not make it. I'm meeting my best friend who I've known for almost 16 years (who lives in Phoenix, AZ), and she's going through the roof with excitement since last year she kept trying to talk me into going and I wouldn't do it. But this year, like I've said before, is about doing things out of my comfort zone, so I'm forcing myself to go and have a good time!

Tenasha and I have been to Vegas twice before, but this trip is special because we will actually be staying in a hotel on the strip. When we went the first time in 1999 (10 years ago), we stayed in a seedy-looking motel for one night and hardly scrounged enough money together for champagne brunch. The trip was a spur-of-the-moment impulse where we were sitting around in Phoenix (while I was visiting after taking the bus out there from PA for 2 and a half days), and we rented a car and took off for Vegas, arriving at night after driving over the Hoover Dam, and a mountain...we saw Vegas down in the Valley below laid out like a golden blanket of lights...it was quite a first impression. We left early afternoon barely having a Vegas experience at all actually, but wanting to go back for more.

Then, in 2004, I left Hubby behind again and headed to meet up with Tenasha in Vegas again. This time we stayed in a Motel 6-style room for 3 nights...WAY OFF THE STRIP. So, it's been 5 years again, and I had to close my eyes while I clicked book to get me to book this trip. I don't know how I'll get by without seeing Little Man for three nights, but, at the end of April, I guess we'll all find out...
Until then, I'm looking for more temporary attorney work, I'll be spring cleaning, sitting in on courtroom proceedings, setting up my law website, getting my malpractice insurance, and plenty of other things. Being FEARLESS = Being BUSY!!!
