On Veteran's Day Little Man turned 5! The day before we celebrated with some treats with his school friends. We talked about what kind of cupcakes he wanted, and I made up piratey treat bags for his friends.
The blue icing was a hit! So were the pirate rings on top of the cupcakes.
The next day he didn't have school and James and I were home with him. We laid out all of his presents the night before so when he came down he could be surprised. And boy was he!
He loved all of his presents! The weather outside was yucky and so he rode his new big boy bike around the house. Later we went to the movies and saw the movie G-Force (a kiddie movie about secret agent animals). After that we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then went to Barnes and Noble for book/magazine browsing and treats from the cafe.
Then we went home and I decorated his cake and fixed chicken divan for his birthday dinner.
