Felting Mission Accomplished!

I let out a HUUUUGEEE sigh of relief when, after the 2nd hot water wash cycle, I pulled my slippers out of the pillowcase, and...THEY FIT RIGHT!!!  I had checked them after the first cycle...and they were still about 2.5 inches too long.  They were originally about 5 inches too long...I should have taken a photo, they looked like I was making clown slippers!  Anyway, after the second wash (with sneakers thrown in for agitation) they seem just right!  The yarn hanging from one is to keep the feet identifiable until they are completed...they are pretty much molded to my feet (done while they were wet...that was a little squishy) but I want to know which is which.  The pattern has a felt strap of sorts to go over the slipper...but I'm not completely sure that's what I'm going to do with them...so I'm holding off on the final finishing work while I ponder possibilities.  I'm looking forward to wearing them soon!

And of course, there's always plenty going on around here at the Craft Chick household.  Lots of activities, Hubby traveling...and we made time to go to the NC RV show about a week and a half ago where Little Man got his face painted like a Carolina Panther...he spent the rest of the time trying to be "terrifying"  but I just thought he looked too cute for words!

Love the slippers, I bet they'll be really comfy once they dry. Love the description of squishy for modelling them while wet :)
