Our neighborhood had a night out at a baseball game and we decided to go. Hubby hadn't been to the new stadium, and Little Man and I went for a mother-son outing that was rained out, so...all of us were excited. We always like an outing in Uptown, so before the ballgame we headed to Mert's Heart and Soul for some serious soul food. For Hubby some ribs and fried chicken...

we all had a taste of some fried green tomatoes (top 10 favorite food of mine)
and me? shoot, I had me some fried chicken (finger lickin' good), some smashed potatoes with gravy and collards topped with diced tomatoes and onions.
Luckily we had a few blocks to walk to work off all the food. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. Which was good...since we learned right before we were leaving that it would be a double-header...too fun!!!
